Stroke ScreeningStroke screening
is an ultrasound doppler color flow examination of the neck blood vessels that looks for areas of plaque formation and blockage. This painless, non-invasive examination takes 30-45 minutes and is performed with the patient laying recumbent. The ultrasound technologist will then scan the neck with the patient’s chin up and neck extended.
No special prep is required.
Minimum age 40.
